Safety Officer Training Responsibilities Easy Method Explain

Safety Training Is Given To Every Person In the Project

The Activities In The Training Include:-
        - Study Of Documentation And Procedures
- Technical Study
- Attending Lectures And Workshops
- Practical Demonstration
- Training in Manufacture's Works And Laboratory
- Training At Other Connected Stations in Operation
- On The Job Training Under Guidance Of Experienced Staff

A Good Practice Is to Associate Young Personal In Various Erection, Commissioning, Operation Maintenance Activities During The Execution Of The Project.

Record of Training:-
Training Manager Identifies The Training Needs Of Every Person In The Organization With                    Long
Range And Short Range Planning. Training Card Is Made for Every Person Or Training Records
Are Maintained In Register Or Recorded Separately Sample Format Attached For Training Record
The Training Is Reviewed On Six Monthly Basis Or Earlier By The Site/Plant Manager.

            - Manager ( Commissioning )
            - Manager ( Operation & Maintenance )
            - Manager ( Field Quality & Safety )
For Larger Projects "safety Manager" May Be Specially Appointed For Planning, Coordinating And       Monitoring Safety Activities. Safety Manager Coordinates The Safety Procedures During Every Stage    of The project Construction Safety Manager Reports to Site Manager

Training to Project Staff And Operation Staff:-
All The Site Staff Including Site Manager, Erection Commissioning Groups, Control Room                     Engineers, Operations Staff And Maintenance Staff, Testing Engineers, Quality Control Engineers,       Store Supervisors & Safety Engineers etc. Is Trained to Ensure They Are Competent to Carry Out          Their Work And They Have Understanding And Knowledge of Their Functions And Safety.

Some Common Types Of Safety Health & Environment Training Organised At Sites Are:-
SHE Induction - Is Given 1st Day Or Before Some One Is Allowed To Come to Site.
Job Specific SHE Training Like - Working At Heights, Safety In Welding & Gas Cutting, Safety             In civil Construction Activities, Safety In Confined Space Entry, Gas Safety, Electrical Safety

Tool Box Talk:-
In Small Group Supervisor/Skilled Worker Gives Speech On a Specific Topic for 5 to 10 Minutes           before Start Of The Work. All Present Also Talk Their Safety Concern During The Talk.

Cooling, Starvation, Smothering, Chain breaking mechanism With Water Merits And Demerits full explained (chapter-2 Unit-1)

Fire Extinguishing Modes Fire can be extinguished by employing one or more of the following techniques. Cooling:-  This means removal of heat this can be achieved by the use of water. Generally 'A' class fire can be extinguished by this method. Starvation:- Removal of fuel. this can be achieved by cutting out the fuel supply to the fire. This can be achieved by physical removal of fuel e.g. pumping out the fuel from the tank on fire or isolating the supply valve etc. Smothering:- Removal of oxygen (air) or diluting the same to blow the minimum requirement. This can be achieved by by applying an inert gas such as CO2 or nitrogen or dry chemical powder or halons etc. Chain breaking mechanism: - This can be achieved by the application of halogenated hydrocarbons or dry chemical powder which distribute the chain reaction between free free radicals of fuel and atmospheric air.
